Mar 4, 2015 - Anglers staying in the motel reported having another good day in the Lower Fly Zone with black stoneflies, hare's ear and san juan worms producing the best results. The upper end of the river in Altmar has not been getting slush ice and is where most anglers are fishing on a daily basis.

Feb 4, 2015 - The only open water that I am aware of is Oak Orchard River from the power plant down past the Archer’s Club area.
They are still catching both steelhead and brown trout close to the dam for those who have the patience.

Jan 22, 2015 - Trout fishing was happening once again according to Capt. Matt Yablonsky of Youngstown. Monday and Tuesday he was hosting outdoor writer Bud Cole of Pennsylvania and they did extremely well despite the cold. Best spot was Devil’s Hole and best bait was a pink egg sac both days. Each day they averaged about 10 fish
