Greater Niagara Fishing Report for Jan. 22, 2015

Jan 22, 2015 - Trout fishing was happening once again according to Capt. Matt Yablonsky of Youngstown. Monday and Tuesday he was hosting outdoor writer Bud Cole of Pennsylvania and they did extremely well despite the cold. Best spot was Devil’s Hole and best bait was a pink egg sac both days. Jan 15, 2015 - Lake Ontario and tributaries – Action below Burt Dam and 18 Mile Creek should be heating up quite literally this weekend as temperatures are finally being forecast into the upper 30’s – allowing for some anglers to be a bit more comfortable as they cast for trout.

Jan 14, 2015 - There are the usual areas of the Oak that remain open due to faster moving waters and those area are producing Steelhead/Rainbow trout and also an occasional Brown trout.
